25-26' Class Projects
Week 1 and 2- September
Our first project is "establishing" our storefronts. Throughout the year, students will have many entrepreneurship opportunities! As a frequent Art Vendor, students will be able to sell their items at our class booth. They'll also be able to sell online, and in person until the summer.
For the first project, they'll be coming up with their business name, logo, and slogan. They will then use their logo design all year long, and create signage. We will be making our store signs, decorating, coloring, painting, using any materials they like to create their brand.

Week 4
In preparation for the Central Texas Pet Adoption Extravaganza, we will be painting our pets! All of the students will bring a reference photo of their pet or animal of choice to then learn how to paint. Students will have the opportunity to showcase their portraits at the Extravaganza.

Week 2 and 3
Now that we have our stores, students will make their first products! They will be designing custom t-shirts and stickers to sell first, and pricing accordingly. They are being encouraged to stick to their store "theme" with their products, and making sure to create different designs from one another. Originality is best!

Week 5- October
This is going to be fun! We are taking the skills we learned last week painting pets, to now paint another animal. We will each be painting a portrait of a chicken, rooster, or chick, to collectively create our "art studio chicken coop." The coop will be displayed in a gallery at the CAC in Temple TX. Gallery date TBD

Future Projects 2025-2026

What is outside the window in our dreams? We will be painting a dream-worthy view outside our custom designed window.

Kids will recreate their own "Starry Night" by picking a new scene to turn into a Van-Gogh inspired piece. Imagine picking a ship in the sea, this is the potential.

We will get a bit messy using paper mache to create a 3D Painting on canvas.

Students will learn drawing skills and techniques to practice and create sketches and self portraits.

We will be making our own breed of dragons! We will first pick the element or power signet we want the dragon to possess and design our dragons.

We will be painting a picture of custom ornament then we will actually make the ornament.
