At Sarah and Brushes, we believe creativity has the power to brighten lives, spark imagination, and build confidence—especially in young artists. That’s why our Weekly Art Classes offer a fun, supportive space for kids (ages 7 and up) to explore their artistic side and create unforgettable projects from September 2025 through May 2026.

Two Class Options to Fit Your Schedule

• Wednesdays, 4–6 pm – Perfect for after-school creative fun, happening from September 2025 to May 2026. Sarah And Brushes

• Thursdays, 11 am–1 pm – A mid-morning artsy escape, also running September 2025 through May 2026. Sarah And Brushes

What You’ll Create This Year

Here’s a peek into our exciting project lineup—full of imagination, hands-on learning, and entrepreneurial spirit!

Weeks 1 & 2 (September): Establishing Your Storefront

Students dive into branding by brainstorming a business name, logo, and slogan. They’ll bring their brand to life with signage and decorations using paint, markers, mixed media—you name it! It’s the perfect way to introduce creativity and business skills from the get-go. Sarah And Brushes

Weeks 2 & 3: Launching Your First Products

Taking branding a step further, students design custom t-shirts and stickers. They’re encouraged to let their creativity flow while staying true to their store’s theme—and originality is always rewarded! Sarah And Brushes

Week 4: Pet Portrait Time

Students bring a favorite pet or animal photo and learn how to paint it—perfect for the Central Texas Pet Adoption Extravaganza, where their portraits will be showcased! Sarah And Brushes

Week 5 (October): Studio Chicken Coop

Building on portrait skills, we’ll paint chickens, roosters, or chicks and assemble them into our very own “art studio chicken coop.” This whimsical display will hang in a gallery at the CAC in Temple, TX—gallery date to be announced! Sarah And Brushes

We’ve got so much more creativity in store for 2025–2026, including:

• Through My Window – What's in your dream view? Paint a scene you imagine outside your own window. Sarah And Brushes

• Starry Night Ship – Design a scene inspired by Van Gogh—think creative twist on nautical night skies! Sarah And Brushes

• 3D Snake Painting – Get messy and sculptural with paper mache to create a snake that pops off the canvas. Sarah And Brushes

• Drawing Faces – Learn sketching and self-portrait skills in a supportive, hands-on session. Sarah And Brushes

• Elemental Dragons – Invent your own dragon, full of personality and elemental powers. Sarah And Brushes

• Christmas Ornaments – Paint a beautiful design, then make it into a real ornament—perfect for gift-giving! Sarah And Brushes
